Jamaica Development Infrastructure Program (JDIP)

The JDIP is the largest roadworks programme in the history of Jamaica. It will entail the construction and rehabilitation of bridges and the island’s road network   and it will provide approximately six thousand seven hundred (6700) jobs using local subcontractors and local material.The project will also consist of these major projects, The Westmoreland Bridge Project, The Rio Grande Bridge Project and the Christiana Development Road Project.

Palisadoes Shoreline Protection and Rehabilitation Works

The Palisadoes road leads from the Norman Manley International Airport into Kingston. It has a history of repeated damage by hurricanes and tropical storms. The worst onslaught occurred during the passage of Hurricane Ivan in September 2004, and Dean in August 2007.
