CHEC opened its Jamaican offices officially on April 22, 2010 after signing an agreement with the Jamaican government in 2009 to be the General Contractor under the Ministry of Transportation and Works and the National Works Agency for two main projects. These are the Palisadoes Shoreline Protection and Rehabilitation Works and the all island Jamaica  Development Infrastructure Programme  (JDIP). We are proud to be a part of this milestone in Jamaica's development, the largest ever compiled road work project in the country's history.

In July 20112 CHEC's  parent company , China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), signed a two-year agreement with the Jamaican government for the construction of a 68-kilometre four-lane North-South Highway linking Jamaican capital Kingston with resort town Ocho Rios on the country’s north coast.
